Reflection of the Season and How Things Should Be Next Year

What a turn around this season has been since last year’s. The culture of this team has changed drastically and I’m so glad I got to be apart of it. We really invested in this season and poured our heart out to each other. I mean look at what happens when everyone decides to show up to practice on time everyday. This team has made it really easy and enjoyable to be a team captain. As a team captain, I really wanted to change the culture of this program and I felt like making practices mandatory was a huge step. I also thought the Monday meetings really helped this season because it was a time where we could all grow as a team and really get to know each other on a deeper level. The improvement of our communication off the field has definitely translated to on the field. We have put in countless hours working on making each other better and working to towards our shared goals. What better way to reward ourselves then to win the championship. Next year, I hope to build off of this season and address any weaknesses we may have. I think we will continue having mandatory practices and Monday meetings. I look forward to next year and I can’t wait to hopefully win another championship.
